Oceans Research offers interns the opportunity to get in-depth field experience in some of the world’s most exciting and challenging marine research projects. Interns will assist in conducting all of Oceans Research’s ambitious research projects on the great white shark and other marine predators. The Oceans Research graduate student program is limited to students enrolled at accredited tertiary institutes, or qualified scientists with a minimum qualification of a B.Sc. or equivalent. Unqualified naturalists with a proven track record in research and/or conservation will also be considered.

Oceans Research offers opportunities for postgraduate students to conduct research through the Oceans Research facilities. All potential students will have to illustrate exceptional abilities in terms of their ability to conduct scientific research, including field based data collection, scientific design, analysis and writing. In addition, potential students must display outstanding leadership, initiative and teamwork abilities. The Oceans Research graduate student program is limited to students enrolled at South African universities. Any international student aiming to become part of the Oceans Research graduate student program must initially complete a three month evaluation period as part of the Oceans Research internship program.
